Performers are set to take the stage for the 2011 Toyota Classics concert at the Ho Chi Minh City Theatre on November 3.

The 14th annual event will include the participation of 45 artists from the Northeast German Philharmonic Orchestra under the baton of conductor Thomas Dorsch. The unique touches of violinist Vasko Vassilev, pianist Pamela Nicholson and Pham Thi Duyen Huyen, a young promising soprano from the Viet Nam National Academy of Music, are expected to be stunning features of the performance.

The audience will be treated to a range of classical pieces composed by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, H Brahms and Johann Sebastian Bach.

The concert is sponsored by Toyota Motor Corporation and Toyota Motor Viet Nam Co in co-operation with the Viet Nam Performing Arts Centre under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism. It contributes to developing Vietnamese music as well as creating a good opportunity for music teachers and students to learn from world famous orchestras.

Tickets are available at 7 Lam Son Square, Ben Nghe Ward, District 1. All the proceeds will go to the Toyota Scholarship for Young Vietnamese Music Talents. The show will begin at 8pm. – VNS
