The Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment on October 3 launched a contest to design multi-functional houses that can adapt to climate change.
The contest is expected to raise people’s understanding of climate change in the globe, particularly in the prevention and mitigation of natural disaster consequences, the effective use of natural resources, the reduction of greenhouse gas emission, and the environmental protection.
It will also help direct planning and design work towards sustainable development.
Organizers said all houses must be designed in the way that is friendly to the environment, energy saving, and feasible.
Contestants are requested to send their works to the Office of the National Target Program for climate change at No. 8 Pháo Đài Láng street, Hà Nội.
Deadline is November 11, 2011.
