HA NOI — Viet Nam is deeply concerned about escalating tensions and recent military actions targeting Libya, the spokesperson for the Vietnamese foreign ministry said yesterday.
The latest military moves would have a significant impact on the Libyan people. They wouldalso impact peace and stability in the region, spokeswoman Nguyen Phuong Nga said.
"Viet Nam calls on concerned parties to exercise restraint, quickly put an end to military activities, and increase dialogues to seek peaceful solutions that conform to the UN Charter and the fundamental principles of international laws that respect the independence and sovereignty of all nations," Nga said.
