Trinhnuhoangcung.jpgIn the end of May, I had chance to work with the American filming crew, visiting Crila Pharmaceutical Factory – Thien Duoc Company Ltd., to learn about the value of this kind of Crinum. Crinum is considered as herbaceous plant which can treat the prostate tumor for men and uterine fibroid tumor for women.

Interviewing Dr. Nguyen Thi Ngoc Tram, director of Thien Duoc Company Ltd., we could feel her enthusiasm with her research the pharmaceutical value of this herbaceous plant and how to extract the plant to make Crila, a medicine which can treat prostate and uterine fibroid tumor.

Dr. Tram told us about her 20 constantly years researching just to prove the pharmaceutical value of Crinium could treat the tumor of prostate and uterus. Then, she with her colleagues further studied based on AND and botanical features of Crinium in order to genuine breed the wild herb, cultivating this kind of herb on large scale.

Moreover, Dr. Tram researched more to create an extracting line to produce soft capsule Crila.  We left the factory at noon and came to visit the crinium nursery garden in Long Thanh district, Dong Nai provice.

A large scale of green Crinium was carefully cultivated. According to Dr. Tram, they didn’t use insecticide for Crinium to meet the international standard of pure materials. Next day, we visited some doctors who used to help Dr. Tram with her research in Ho Chi Minh city. They both work in Traditional Hospital, and they both study how to use traditional medicine to treat prostate and uterine diseases.

Doctor Thu Lieu – Hospital of Traditional Medicine in Ho Chi Minh city shared with us the result of clinical test Crila capsule which was extracted from Crinium was relatively optimistic. She revealed that after 90 days using Crila, 30% patients had a very good result because they had been lessened 50% diameter of their tumors; about 30% had average result; and the rest of 20% got no result, maybe because of the short treating period.

Concluding, the researching group noted that the result of the kind of traditional medicine was 80% good. The last day of work, we flight to Hanoi, paid a visit to the Ministry of Health, and met Prof., Dr. Truong Viet Dung – Director of Department of Science and Training of the Ministry. In the interview, Dr. Truong Viet Dung expressed his desire to introduce that Vietnamese medicine, Crila to the countries over the world.

He said being researched and tested for a long time, Crila was believed as a good product.
