First VN int’l film festival to be held in October |

The first Việt Nam International Film Festival will be held in Hà Nội from October 17-21 on the occasion of the 1,000th founding anniversary of Thăng Long-Hà Nội, according to the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
Some 60 films have been registered to attend the festival which will offer Vietnamese filmmakers opportunities to contact foreign peers and call for investment in Việt Nam’s film industry.
The festival will include forums, seminars and cultural activities.
The event’s steering committee is chaired by Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Hoàng Tuấn Anh.
