Concerning corrections on Vietnam - China land boundary on Google Maps online service, Vietnamese Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Nguyen Phuong Nga on August 5th, 2010 responded to the media that:

We take note that Google has been responsive to our request and fixed online map errors it made on Vietnam - China land boundary. Vietnamese competent agencies will verify the accuracy of the corrections.

With the Protocol on demarcation of the land border, the Agreement on the land border management regime and the Agreement on land port and land port management regime being in place, the Agreement on demarcation of Vietnam – China land border has come into life. Vietnam is now completing procedures for depositing the official Vietnam - China land border map and other related documents
