International dental seminar opens in Hanoi |

A three-day international seminar on dentistry started in the capital
city of Hanoi on July 28 with the participation of n early 1,500
leading foreign and local dentists.
In the seminar
opening address, Minister of Health Nguyen Quoc Trieu said that his
ministry has instructed and encouraged local hospitals to promote the
application of scientific achievements and modern technologies in
people’s health care, especially in dentistry.
In
addition, the country’s dentists had boosted cooperation and sought new
technologies from foreign partners, the minister said while explaining
reasons behind the improvement in dental and mouth care, particularly of
children.
The seminar heard 32 presentations on
odontology issues, including teeth transplantation , mouth operations
and diseases related to teeth and mouth.
On the
same day, participants visited an exhibition on dentistry that displayed
dental equipment, materials for dentistry and dental and mouth care
products made by leading firms from the US, Germany, France, the UK,
Japan, the Republic of Korea and Israel./.(Source:VN+)
