NA approves three bills more |

VGP – The National Assembly
(NA) yesterday in Hà Nội passed three bills on enforcement of criminal
verdicts, trade arbitration, and food safety. These laws will take
effect in 2011.
Gaining 86.61% ayes, the Law on Enforcement of Criminal Verdicts was passed, accepting the lethal injection as a form of execution and the return of bodies and ashes of executed prisoners to their families.
With 82 articles, the Trade Arbitration Law rules jurisdiction of arbitrators in trade disputes and some other cases.
The Law on Food Safety comprises 72 articles, stipulating food management, responsibilities and obligations of food producers, and State management of the Ministry of Health (MoH).
Under the law, the MoH is in charge of controlling food hygiene in the process of production, preliminary treatment, preservation, transportation, export, import and business of additives. The Ministry will investigate and punish any violation of food hygiene and safety./.
