Challenges to
development are opening up new opportunities for and requiring new
responsibilities from young leaders and growth companies.
Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung emphasized this at a meeting
with the WEF’s Community of Young Global Leaders (YGL) and Community of Global
Growth Companies (GGC) on June 6, on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum
(WEF) on East Asia in HCMCity.
The world has made impressive progress on its development path, said PM Dung,
adding that it is a result of human beings’ unceasingly efforts for a better
world of peace, stability, cooperation and development.
However, he said, the world is still facing challenges, citing that tensions,
conflicts and instability are threatening many areas while we have not got
effective solutions for climate change, energy security, food and finance. In
addition, poverty, diseases and illiteracy continue weighing down on developing
nations.
He said he believes that the young generation will fulfill their
responsibilities, noting that their successes have been honoured at the WEF.
The PM called on young leaders and growth companies to bring into play their
creativeness and courageousness to bring newer and more effective approaches to
global issues and to share experiences, information and strategic vision with
authorities at all levels.
He said that Vietnamese young business people and youths have been encouraged
to uphold their creativeness and capabilities to build the country into a
prosperous and developing nation.
Vietnam’s
young people is sharing the same language with you – the language of wishing
for renovation and development, stressed the PM.
