Vietnamese-German University accepting applications

The Vietnamese-German
University (VGU) announced that students who want to enroll in the university
will have to take VGU's own specific entrance exam.
Students first have to submit scores from 6 subjects (Mathematics, Physics,
Chemistry, Biology, English and Vietnamese Literature) from their last 3 years
in high school and then complete VGU's online test before May 25, 2010.
All applications will be considered by VGU and if selected, a notice will be
sent to selected candidates by May 31, 2010 at the latest, informing them about
taking the entrance exam.
VGU's entrance exam consists of a problem-solving test and an English test.
Testing dates will be held from June 16 - 18, 2010. The results will be sent to
students no later than June 30, 2010. VGU will not directly admit students
under any circumstances.
VGU will provide a free English course, lasting one month, August 16 -
September 17, 2010 for students who have passsed the entrance exam before
August 12, 2010.
It was reported that VGU will only provide one program this year, the
Electrical Engineering and Information Technology course, in cooperation with
the University of
Applied Sciences,
Frankfurt/Main.
VGU is a Vietnamese state university that combines the efforts of both Vietnam and Germany
striving to develop a university with international standards in Vietnam. VGU
follows the German model and standards in its academic and administrative
structures and will provide students with training programs in the key
technical fields of Germany.
The quality of teaching is ensured by a team of top-notch German professors,
and all VGU graduates will receive a German degree certificate.
The language of teaching at VGU is English, although all students will learn
German alongside with their regular studies.
