In 40 days and nights, beginning on 26/4/2010, French Adventure Line Productions (ALP) will produce the Koh-Lanta programme in Con Dao islands, Ba Ria-Vung Tau province, Vietnam.

Koh-Lanta is a French version of the very well-known American television programme Survivor , a cross between an adventure game and reality TV, describes the contest about how to survive, work in team, bear up with the challenges and how knowledgable contestants are about wild life.

Since 2001, Koh-Lanta  has been filmed in many regions of the world, with a preference for hot locations in tropical climates, such as: Costa Rica, Panama, Brazil, the Philippines, New Caledonia, Palau Islands, Vanuata. Conducted with super-modern filming techniques, Koh-Lanta has been bringing out to the world all the most beautiful scenes of nature everywhere contests were through the shows broadcast on TF1 channel. Millions of people have watched it and had no hesitation to fly there- paradises on earth.

In Con Dao, 16 French players must survive on two desert locations: Dam Tre bay and Bay Canh island. They have to find food and protect themselves from the tough conditions (ex: making fire) on the islands like Robinson Crusoe used to do. The players will be divided in two teams, and experience 28 games and challenges set up on Dam Trau beach, Vong beach and Hon Cau island. All these 28 adventure games have been set up for more than one month by ALP technicals. Over 80 people will involve in this programme, including 14 cameramen, 14 sound-men, who accompany the players for most of the contest time to record their every emotions.

The rule is that, every three days, one player from the team who lost the challenge is eliminated during a council meeting involving all members of the team, who vote for the member they wish to leave the islands. And the adventure or the winner will receive €100,000 reward.

It is a debut of ALP in Vietnam with such a big filming project. Con Dao and Vietnam will be well-known as the hidden charm destination for French and European through the beautiful images of nature and wild-life on the islands. “ I do hope the Koh-Lanta programme will proceed smoothly and successfully as we expect and we believe that the number of tourists, especially French, coming to Con Dao increase sharply in next years”- Thierry Graff, the Koh-Lanta Executive Producer said.
