World Wild Fund for Nature (WWF) Viet Nam and the Sai Gon Tiep Thi (Sai Gon Marketing) newspaper have invited photo and video entries in a competition about climate change to mark Earth Hour 2010.

"We are asking people to be creative in thinking about what climate change means to them, and how they view this global threat. We all have a different perspective, and the effects will affect each of us differently," explained Jonathan De Luca, Communications Officer of WWF Viet Nam.

Judges will be looking for entries that focus on earth hour, address the effects of climate change or depict positive actions that can be made in Viet Nam.

Photos and videos will be judged based on the message expressed and on the quality of the submission.

The winning photos and videos will be published in Sai Gon Tiep Thi. In addition to being displayed on WWF's website, they may also be used in future Earth Hour campaigns to raise awareness on climate change.

Prizes include electronic products from LG and Canon for the top four photo submissions and best three video submissions with total prize money of VND100 million (US$5,000).

Vietnamese interested to enter can send photos to: earthhour.vietnam@wwf greater mekong.org and upload video submissions to Youtube then email the link by April 4. Contest results will be announced by mid April.
