Vietnam has recorded significant achievements in ensuring human rights

On March 12th, in response to the media regarding Vietnam's reaction to the asessments on Vietnam's human
rights situation in the US Department of State's 2009 Human Rights Report
released on March 11th, 2010, Foreign Ministry 's Spokesperson Nguyen Phuong
Nga said:
"The US Department of State's
2009 Human Rights Report again releases unobjective assessments based on false
information about Vietnam's
reality.
Vietnam’s consistent policy is to respect
and guarantee human rights. Vietnam
has recorded significant achievements in ensuring human rights in all civil,
political economic, cultural, social aspects. It is no other than the
Vietnamese who benefit and most appreciate this fact. Vietnam’s
achievements have been acknowledged and highly valued by international
community.
Vietnam is always willing to cooperate and
engage in dialogue with countries and international organizations, including
the United States
to enhance mutual understanding about differences, including human rights
issue.”
