Vietnamese top legislator urges for stronger investment of Indian firms PDF Print E-mail

Attending the Việt Nam-India Business Forum on February 27, Chairman of the National Assembly of Việt Nam Nguyễn Phú Trọng encouraged  Indian companies of Karnataka State to invest more in Việt Nam, especially in information technology and human resources training.

 

At the forum entitled “Towards a strategic partnership” held in Bangalore, the capital city of Karnataka State, the leader said that Việt Nam highlights the importance of information technology sector, which has grown remarkably by 25-30% per year.

As experienced investors, IT enterprises in Karnataka, said Mr. Nguyễn Phú Trọng, have many opportunities to tap Việt Nam’s potential and attractive IT market.

The leader also underlined that the National Assembly of Việt Nam will strengthen cooperation with legislative bodies of India and Karnataka State to create better legal foundations for enterprises of the two countries to cooperate and do business effectively.

Mr. R.Kumar Khatri from the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Karnataka proposed Vietnamese firms to invest in the state. He confirmed that Việt Nam is an attractive market for many investors and by cooperating with Việt Nam, India will gain access to other markets in Southeast Asia.

The forum, held by the Việt Nam Chamber of Commerce and Industry and its Indian counterpart, was part of the "Vietnamese Days in India” Program.

On February 28, Chairman of the National Assembly Nguyễn Phú Trọng left India for Indonesia.
