100 pupils in Kon Tum province receive scholarships PDF Print E-mail

On January 25th, in the Central Highlands province of Kon Tum, 100 pupils, wounded and fallen soldiers, from revolutionary contribution and poor families and disable children were presented scholarships.

The ceremony was held by the Vietnam Society of Study Promotion, the Study Promotion and Intellectuals Newspaper, Ho Chi Minh City Study Promotion Society, the Central Highlands Kon Tum provincial Study Promotion Society and the provincial Association for the Sponsor of the Disabled and the Orphanage Children.

Each scholarship includes 300,000 VND, a shirt and trousers and 10 books.

The activity was under a programme by the Vietnam Society of Study Promotion and other agencies to encourage studying movements and help poor students welcome the lunar new year 2010.

The programme will present 50000 books and 400 scholarships to students from 9 provinces in the Central Highlands and southern Vietnam.
