The Steering Committee 127/TW has reviewed the current mechanisms in an effort to iron out snags in combating smuggling and trade fraud.

The committee will soon introduce a new national programme to fight smuggling, counterfeiting and trade fraud with more consistent and reasonable measures to improve the capacity of enforcement agencies and coordination among them.

A far-reaching programme at national level will soon be presented to the Prime Minister for approval.

In addition to previous successes, the economic management of border gates has presented a number of outstanding issues that need to be addressed.
