Artisan Nguyen Huu Chinh sighed looking at the
looms, which used to produce high-quality silk, the pride of Van Phuc Village
in Hanoi.
Now, they have fallen idle and are completely covered in grime.
The
eighth television programme Noi vong tay lon (Joining the Great Fold) to raise
funds for the poor was broadcast live on Vietnam Television’s VTV3 and VTV4
channels and Ho Chi Minh City Television’s HTV9 channel.
Deputy
Prime Minister Nguyen Sinh Hung has signed a decision to adopt a project which
develops agricultural, forestry trees, animals and aquatic varieties until
2020.
