The 8th annual Vietnamese Poetry Day kicked off on February 26 with a special
procession of the sacred flame from the Hung Kings’ Temple in Phu Tho province
to Van Mieu-Quoc Tu Giam (Temple of Literature ) in Hanoi.
In his reception to
visiting Russian Minister of Culture Avdeyev Alexandr Alekseyevich on Tuesday,
PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng was very pleased with the well-flourishing bilateral ties
between the two countries.
A festival to commemorate two
national heroes, the Trung Sisters (Trung Trac and Trung Nhi), who led the
country against northern invaders 1970 years ago, opened on February 19.
A
gala night of Ca Tru (Ceremonial songs) and Quan Ho (Love duets) took place at
the Hanoi Opera House to mark the 1,000 th anniversary of Thang Long-Hanoi.
