The Department of Primary Education has now prepared a highly visual science text book for primary school children, covering various aspects of social and nature related subjects.

Vietnam is placed eighth among countries which have the highest numbers of students studying in the US, according to the Open Doors 2011 Report on Educational Mobility Exchange Study Abroad Student.  

Tertiary education needs comprehensive reform to improve its quality and meet the requirements of socio-economic development, says Minister of Education and Training Pham Vu Luan.

The rapid increase in the number of students has forced universities to recruit new lecturers regularly. However, it is very difficult to recruit lecturers these days due to the unreasonable remuneration offers.

The situation of vocational schools, which have been dragging out a miserable existence for the last many years, has got even worse due to the lack of students. A lot of schools reportedly can enroll 10-20 percent of the number of students needed this year.
