The Vietnamese Embassy in
Norway will be officially inaugurated during an official visit by Deputy Prime
Minister Hoang Trung Hai from June 12-16, raising the total number of Vietnam’s
representative agencies in foreign countries to 86.
The Viet Nam and United States Political, Security and Defence
Dialogue was a success, Deputy Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minh told a news
conference yesterday.
Vietnam on June 8 pledged to do its utmost as the
ASEAN chair to promote cooperation between the bloc and regional partners as
well as organisations, including the Conference on Interaction and
Confidence-Building Measures in Asia (CICA).

Admiral
Robert Willard, chief of the US military’s Pacific Command, has arrived in
Vietnam for talks with senior military officials on rescue and relief

The European Union (EU) will give 940 million euros (about $1 billion) in aid to Vietnam this year. It was revealed in the EU's annual report Green Book released here Monday, Xinhua reported.
